Huntington Police Blotter: Man Possessed Cocaine, Bags, Scales
ALSO: A man stole suitcases and clothing items from the same Marshalls on two separate dates, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from March 25 through March 31.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- March 30: Daniel Kersey, 33, of Huntington Station, was found in possession of more than one-eighth of an ounce of cocaine when police searched his Huntington Station home at 6 a.m. March 30, police said. Kersey was also in possession of clear plastic bags used for packaging large-scale narcotics and digital scales, police said. Children were in the house during the time the search warrant was executed, police said. He was arrested and charged with one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance: narcotic drug with intent to sell, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of narcotics, two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
- March 26: Price Cottle, 26, of Brooklyn, stole a suitcase and underwear from Marshalls in Huntington at noon Oct. 11, police said. Cottle stole multiple jackets and a suitcase from the same Marshalls at 11:48 a.m. Nov. 1, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000 and petty larceny.
