Huntington Police Blotter: Man Sold Cocaine 3 Times

ALSO: A man was accused of stealing $23,600 worth of items from a Home Depot across two dates, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Oct. 1 through Oct. 8.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Robert Ortiz, 61, of Melville, sold cocaine three times between June 1 and Oct. 5, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance: 1/2 oz of narcotic drug and one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance: narcotic drug on Oct. 6.
  • Ashu Singh, 51, of Melville, stole $3,000 worth of pills from a CVS Pharmacy in East Northport between March 1 and Oct. 4, police said. She was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny on Oct. 4.
  • Victor Garrison, 22, of Hempstead, stole a combined $23,600 worth of batteries and miscellaneous property at Home Depot in Commack on Sept. 10 and 12, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny and one count of second-degree criminal contempt: disobey court on Oct. 1.
  • Benerld Castma, 24, of Westbury, was involved in stealing more than $8,600 worth of batteries and miscellaneous items at Home Depot in Commack on Sept. 12 along with Victor Garrison, police said. She was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny on Oct. 1.
