Huntington Police Blotter: Man Sold Fentanyl

ALSO: A man was accused of assaulting a police officer, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Sept. 23 through Sept. 30.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Levar Butts, 27, of Huntington Station, was found to be in possession of a gun and fentanyl when officers performed a search warrant, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon: loaded firearm, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of narcotic drugs, and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia on Sept. 29.
  • Jason Gentry, 23, of Greenlawn, sold fentanyl, police said. He was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance: narcotic drug on Sept. 27.
  • Jasson Cruz, 21, of Greenlawn, attacked a police officer in Greenlawn, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree assault: intent to cause physical injury to officer, second-degree obstruct governmental administration, and resisting arrest on Sept. 27.
