Huntington Supervisor Frank Petrone Not Running For Re-Election

Frank Petrone was first elected Town Supervisor in 1993.

Huntington Supervisor Frank P. Petrone announced Thursday he will not be running for reelection this year after serving the Town for almost 24 years.

Petrone was first elected Town Supervisor in 1993. His campaign slogan was, “People Before Politics.”

“My agenda was to run town government in a way that made quality of life for our residents my number one priority,” Petrone said in a press release. “And now, looking back, I believe I have a accomplished what I set out to do in 1993.”

Before becoming supervisor, Petrone worked more than 18 years in public service. “I appreciate the efforts of all the people who have worked with me and thank them for their service,” Petrone said. “I am proud that I will be leaving Town government, and the Town, in better shape than when I took office.”

He says he looks forward to becoming a grandfather, spending more time with family and possibly looking at new professional opportunities.
