HUNTINGTON, NY — A Huntington Town Board meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Huntington Town Hall, at 100 Main St., Huntington.

  • Amend the Town of Huntington Traffic Code regarding stop and yield intersections at Sophie Court in Commack.
  • Amend the Town of Huntington Code for chapters on affordable housing, rezoning of property and the Long Island Workforce Housing Act.
  • Consider a zone change application for residences at Oheka to modify the Historic Building Overlay District and rescind the restrictions filed for the property on the west side of East Gate Drive, north of Colonial Drive, West Hills.

Public hearings will be scheduled to consider allowing:

  • Smyth to make license agreements with various sports organizations to use Town of Huntington facilities.
  • A license agreement with Dish Wireless LLC to use town property at 60 Broadway, Huntington Station.
  • A license agreement with Dish Wireless LLC to use Dix Hills Water District property on Wolf Hill Road.
  • A license agreement with Dish Wireless LLC to use Dix Hills Water District property on Colby Drive.
  • Actions to be taken upon blighted properties.
  • The comptroller to amend the 2023 Operating and Capital Budget for the Town of Huntington and its special districts.

  • The Huntington School District to use Huntington High School for the Hunting-Tony Awards Ceremony on June 5.
  • Storage Quarters Records Management for paper shredding services at the annual Huntington Family Earth Day event on April 22.
  • Co-sponsoring the Greater Huntington Council of Yacht and Boating Club's Huntington Waterfront Festival on May 20 and May 21, and allowing Smyth to execute a license agreement for using Mill Dam Park and Marina.
  • Suffolk County to apply and receive funding for the Community Services for the Elderly Shopping Assistance Program.
  • The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York State and Municipal Grant Program to apply for financial assistance.
  • Suffolk County to apply and receive funding for the Residential Repair Program for the older residents of Huntington.
  • Applying for and receiving funds from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets for the New York State 2023 Urban Farms and Community Gardens Grant Program.
  • Suffolk County to apply for and receive funds for adult day care services.
  • Northport Village to use Woodbine Marina for an oyster FLUPSY program.
  • The Budget/Service Modification Approval Form #2 for the Statewide Mass Transportation Operating Assistance (STOA) agreement (2021 to 2023) to receive operating assistance for the town’s HART bus system for the 2023 budget period.
  • Superior Overhead Door to execute a contract for overhead and rollup door repairs and service.
  • A two-year extension to the license agreement for the community or educational use of the Flanagan Center gymnasium and locker rooms with Empire Youth Athletics.
  • Huntington Coach Corp to execute a contract for bus services for recreational programs.
  • New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to allow the continued use of state-owned patrol boats.
  • CSG Forte Payments for an online tax payment processing system.
  • Establish fees for the Department of Parks and Recreation programs and facilities.
  • Accept a bench donation from the Harborfields Public Library.
  • Accept a donation of tree and shrub saplings for Town Arbor Day Observance.
  • Adopt the Community Benefits Agreement Advisory Committee's recommendation for the allocation and disbursement of funds for certain community programs.
  • Declare a 1996 Stewart & Stevenson Cargo Truck as a surplus and allow it to be donated to the Eaton’s Neck Fire Department.
  • Declare a 2001 AM General M942 Army Truck as a surplus and allow it to be donated to the Bower Bank Fire Department.
  • Declare certain equipment and vehicles as surplus or obsolete and allow the sale at auctions or trade-ins, sale, or disposal.
