HUNTINGTON, NY — James Dolan has had no problems kicking people out of Madison Square Garden, and it looks like those talents aren't exclusive to the New York City venue. Polly Mosendz, a reporter for Bloomberg Businessweek, said she was kicked out of The Paramount, a small theater in Huntington, where Dolan's blues band was playing.

Dolan, CEO of the Madison Square Garden company and majority owner of the New York Knicks, was performing at The Paramount with his band, JD & the Straight Shot. Mosendz bought a $38 ticket herself to see the show, hoping to add a paragraph onto a larger feature story on Dolan.

The NBA owner's band was slated to perform second on a three-bill act and Mosendz approached Dolan before the set. When she noticed him standing alone, he quickly had her removed, insisting his music had nothing to do with basketball and shouldn't be part of the article.

Security offered the reporter money to leave the venue, but she declined and exited anyway. Later Mosendz contacted MSG for a comment and received the following message from a spokesperson: "The reporter was there to write a story about the Knicks. The Knicks were not playing that evening."
