Lane Closures Coming To Northern State Parkway In Town Of Huntington
The drainage project is expected to last five nights. Here is what drivers should know.
TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, NY — Overnight lane closures are looming for the eastbound Northern State Parkway in the Town of Huntington.
The parkway will be closed to all traffic between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. between Exit 40 (State Route 110) and Exit 41 (Wolf Hill Road) in the Town of Huntington for five nights starting on Monday, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. A drainage rehabilitation project will be worked on, weather permitting, the department stated.
Drivers will follow a signed detour route onto southbound Route 110 to eastbound Old Country Road for approximately two miles onto eastbound Wolf Hill Road for access to Northern Parkway.

Drivers were urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in one's driver's license being suspended.
