Legis. William Spencer Seeks 'Lead by Example' Interns

Dear Editor,

It’s that time of year again…my office is accepting applications from high school and college students from the Huntington area (aged 15+) interested in participating in the 5th Annual “Lead by Example” summer internship program!

“Lead by Example” is an initiative coordinated through my office that seeks to connect students with local businesses for a six-week summer internship experience. This program has successfully made more than 80 matches over the past 4 years, and gives students from all backgrounds opportunities to learn, network and obtain experience in a real-life work environment. Time and again, these unpaid internship opportunities have proven to be successful in helping participants cultivate the necessary work and communication skills they will need in the future.

This year’s program will run from July 11th to August 19th. If you are interested in applying or have any questions, please contact my office as soon as possible at 631-854-4500!
