'Despicable': LI Father Gets 18 Years For Repeatedly Sexually Abusing Daughter, DA Says
The girl's mother captured the man sexually abusing their daughter on video, the DA says.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — A 42-year-old Huntington Station man was sentenced to 18 years in prison, followed by 18 years of post-release supervision, after he admitted to repeatedly sexually abusing his daughter, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced Wednesday.
The man pleaded guilty to course of sexual conduct against a child after abusing his daughter over the course of three years. He was not named to protect his daughter's identity.
"No child should ever be subjected to the horrors of sexual abuse, let alone by a family member," Tierney said in a news release. "This defendant violated his role as a father in the most despicable way. I hope this sentence provides the victim with closure and peace after what she endured for so long."

The father began sexually abusing his daughter in September 2018, when she was just 11 years old, until August 2022, according to court documents and the man's guilty plea.
In the summer of 2022, the girl's mother began to feel suspicious of the father's behavior toward their daughter and left her cell phone recording in the bedroom while she went to the kitchen to cook, prosecutors said. The mother watched the video, which showed the father sexually abusing their daughter, officials said.

The mother immediately confronted the father and reported the abuse to the Suffolk County Police Department, and the man was arrested that day, authorities said.
On Dec. 20, the man pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, three counts of second-degree criminal sexual act, one count of second-degree incest, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of third-degree sexual abuse.
He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison. He was represented by Christopher Brocato.
