  1. East Northport woman wins $3M lottery prize. Josephine Julich, of East Northport, claimed a top prize from the New York Lottery’s "X Series 50X" scratch-off game, according to the NY lottery. "Winning this jackpot felt like an out-of-body experience," she told NY Lottery after claiming the prize. Julich chose to do a lump-sum payment, which checked out at a cool $1,640,520 after withholdings. (Daily Voice)
  2. Man injures police officer in Melville after crashing into his vehicle. A man traveling westbound on the Long Island Expressway near exit 49 veered off the road early Sunday morning around 4:30 a.m. Kushal Dilawri, 33, of Hicksville, hit a marked police vehicle who was doing paperwork from an earlier accident. The officer was injured and taken to the hospital with non-life threating injures. Dilawri was charged with driving while intoxicated. (Patch)
  3. Man dressed as a woman robs Commack Teachers Federal Credit Union Saturday morning. The man was wearing a wig and makeup when he handed a note to the teller demanding cash. The teller complied and gave the man cash and the suspect fled in a gray minivan on Motor Parkway. Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Patch)
