LUPINACCI ATTENDS FEDERATION OF ORGANIZATIONS SENIOR VOLUNTEER LUNCHEON

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R, C, I – South Huntington) attended the Federation of Organizations Senior Volunteer Luncheon.

On Friday, Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R, C, I – South Huntington) joined local elected officials at the Federation of Organizations Senior Volunteer Luncheon, where he awarded New York State Assembly Citations to the dedicated volunteers of the Foster Grandparent Program and the Senior Companion Program. These two programs, designed by the Federation of Organizations, are geared to mutually benefit both “at-risk” children in schools through one-to-one assistance and provide companionship to aging senior citizens.
“The Foster Grandparent and the Senior Companion Programs are composed of devoted individuals who want to make a difference in their communities. These programs truly provide companionship to seniors, while allowing them to share wisdom with at-risk members of younger generations,” said Lupinacci. “The actions of the participants are inspiring and certainly have an impact on the lives of those involved.”
“I commend the members of the Federation of Organizations for making this day possible, and applaud the Federation’s ‘Man of the Year,’ Assemblyman Robert K. Sweeney, for his dedication to serving the great state of New York. Again, thank you all for your tireless service to the people of New York State,” Lupinacci concluded.
