LUPINACCI COMMENDS FEDERAL LAWMAKERS FOR RESTORING LIRR TAX BENEFIT

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R, C, I – South Huntington) on Thursday commended federal lawmakers for restoring a tax benefit that will benefit Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) commuters.

“Residents in the Huntington and Babylon area depend on the LIRR every day, but have felt serious pressure from increased costs and fees,” said Lupinacci. “These commuters will appreciate this tax benefit as it will potentially save them hundreds of dollars each year.

“I’d like to thank Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Peter King for pushing this much-needed tax break through Congress.”
