Lupinacci Helps Pass Women's Equality Legislation
Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I – South Huntington) and NYS Assembly colleagues pass the Trafficking Victim's Protection and Justice Act.

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I – South Huntington) and fellow Assembly colleagues today passed the Trafficking Victim’s Protection and Justice Act to further combat human trafficking in New York State. This legislation, A.506, stiffens penalties for trafficking humans and provides services for victims’ recoveries. This was the first of many bills regarding women’s equality that will be introduced in the Assembly this year.
“I’m so glad the Assembly Majority finally came to their senses and agreed to bring each women’s equality bill to the Assembly floor for an individual vote instead of the controversial, omnibus package that was introduced in past years. As a legislature, it’s important that we pass every measure possible to end human trafficking and enact other important women’s equality measures in our state,” said Lupinacci. “This is great for New York because we continue to be a leader in equality, making sure we have some of the toughest human trafficking laws in the country. I look forward to the governor signing this bill that will protect the people of New York State.”
