LUPINACCI HONORS AMERICAN FLAG, SPEAKS DURING FLAG DAY CEREMONY

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R, C, I – South Huntington) recently attended a Flag Day ceremony hosted by the Huntington Elks Lodge. During the ceremony, Lupinacci spoke about the significance of the United States Flag. Local scouts and veterans carried out the ceremonial honoring of the American flag, and paid their respects to weathered American flags which were then properly disposed of.
“Flag day is designated in honor of our national symbol. Each time we honor our flag, we honor our country, what it represents, and each person who has fought on behalf of our great nation,” said Lupinacci. “The United States remains a ‘shining city on a hill,’ as the world’s greatest example of freedom and liberty. Each day, we proudly continue this great American experiment, which began with the concept that ‘all men are created equal.’
“I was proud to join local Elks, veterans and scouts to honor America and its national symbol. The flag is a powerful symbol that embraces the inalienable rights, freedoms and liberties, of which we are blessed with as American citizens,” Lupinacci concluded.
