Lupinacci Hosts Veterans Roundtable
"Today was a tremendous opportunity to bring together current and former members of the military to learn about the issues facing veterans"
Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington), Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern and the office of Congressman Thomas Suozzi joined the local community at the American Legion Post 360 in Huntington to participate in the Inaugural Veterans Roundtable and Fair.
“Today was a tremendous opportunity to bring together current and former members of the military to learn about the issues facing veterans in New York,” said Lupinacci. “Their efforts allow us to enjoy the many freedoms we all too often take for granted, and today’s event was an opportunity to give back to those who’ve sacrificed so much for us. The problems facing our veterans are very real, and it is critical for government and the veteran community to work together to find a solution to these issues.”
Bob Santo, a local veteran and Treasurer of the American Legion Post 1244 said the event was: “A much-needed and frank dialogue among government agencies, non-profits and veterans service organizations. Future discussions like this will surely be welcomed.”

“I also want to thank our local businesses and volunteers who helped make this event so special. The veterans are truly deserving of this honor, and I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to thank a veteran whenever the opportunity presents itself,” concluded Lupinacci.
