LUPINACCI JOINS EFFORT TO EXPEDITE ACCESS TO MEDICAL MARIJUANA
Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) joined a bipartisan movement that would ease pain and suffering for the terminally ill.

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently joined a bipartisan movement that would ease pain and suffering for terminally ill patients in New York State. Assembly Bill 7060 was introduced on Tuesday in front of a crowd of emotional Compassionate Care NY advocates at the New York State Capitol; it would allow patients suffering from specific health conditions to obtain medical marijuana without delay.
“New Yorkers who are suffering from painful life threatening illnesses should not have to wait another day to access medical marijuana,” said Lupinacci. “With bipartisan support in the Assembly, we should keep this momentum moving forward and push our senators and the governor to expedite this bill through the legislature so we can ease the suffering of countless terminally ill patients in New York State.
“Legislators have the obligation to do what is in the best interest of our constituents, and that includes protecting those who are suffering from debilitating illnesses. If medical marijuana can help ease their pain, we should not wait another day to pass this legislation,” concluded Lupinacci.
