Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently joined Huntington Fire Department Commissioner Andre Sorrentino and community members to bring thousands of turkeys to the needy throughout the greater Huntington region. Officials from the Town of Huntington, County Executive Steve Bellone and hundreds of representatives from local fire departments and the Suffolk County Police Department were in attendance to aid in the efforts.
Hundreds of residents lined up along New York Avenue in Huntington to receive turkeys, holiday food and household supplies in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday.
“I was proud to join with Commissioner Sorrentino, County Executive Bellone and so many others to assist in this year’s giveaway,” Lupinacci said. “This event is a great example of the community coming together to give back. It is inspirational and what Thanksgiving and this time of year are all about.”
