Lupinacci Meets With Student Leaders
Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I,Ref-South Huntington) recently visited St. Joseph's College in Patchogue

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I,Ref-South Huntington) recently visited St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue to speak before a group of emerging student leaders. Lupinacci, an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s, discussed his experience volunteering and the role each student can play in civic society.
“I want to personally thank all the philanthropic men and women who have put in their time for the benefit of our community,” said Lupinacci. “Volunteering provides critical resources to underfunded and understaffed organizations who offer services to those in desperate need of help. Those who give to these groups greatly contribute to our society’s wellbeing and their actions cannot go unnoticed. Taking action to work together towards a common cause makes a difference, not only within our community, but in the lives of so many others, and that is a beautiful thing.
“When it comes to the field of politics and government, internships are always available. Though many of these are unpaid, they provide unique insight into the inner workings of political and government offices. I think it is very important for volunteers—especially those interested in influencing change in their communities—to get to know their elected officials and let them know their thoughts on the issues they find important.”
