Lupinacci Partners With Long Island Cares, Hosts Food Drive
"This food drive was a tremendous success and it is truly a testament of the generosity of Huntington's people," Lupinacci said.

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I,Ref.—South Huntington) recently partnered with Long Island Cares to host the “Summer Food Drive to End Hunger on Long Island.” The food drive was held at King Kullen in Huntington Station, where volunteers collected boxes of non-perishable food items for those in need throughout the region.
“This food drive was a tremendous success and it is truly a testament of the generosity of Huntington’s people,” said Lupinacci. “Whether it was contributing to today’s efforts financially or purchasing food to donate, it was heartwarming to learn of the goodness of so many individuals from our community.”
Lupinacci, who has been an advocate for the region’s most vulnerable populations, said that today’s efforts were just the first step in a greater community effort to end hunger in Huntington.

“Long Island Cares is a great asset, but there is only so much an organization can do without the collaboration of the entire community. Whether by donating monthly, yearly or just dropping off unused items from your pantry, every item goes a long way and I encourage everyone to join in these efforts.”
