LUPINACCI ON TAX FREEDOM DAY: IT'S ABOUT TIME
Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) on the Tax Freedom Day in New York State.

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently commented on the upcoming Tax Freedom Day in New York State, which marks the date when residents have earned enough money to pay their entire tax bill for the year. This year, New York does not celebrate Tax Freedom Day until May 8, making the state the 48th to celebrate Tax Freedom Day this year.
“With the outrageously high taxes on Long Island, it should be no surprise that New York State celebrates Tax Freedom Day several weeks after most other states,” said Lupinacci, who has consistently supported legislation that would ease the tax burden on the middle class and businesses. “Our focus should be putting money back into hardworking taxpayers’ pockets.”
Tax Freedom Day is when the entire state has earned enough money to pay its total tax bill for the year.
