Lupinacci Visits Oakwood Primary Center, Congratulates Students
Oakwood Primary Center summer reading

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently visited Oakwood Primary Center to congratulate more than 20 participants in the Assembly Summer Reading Challenge. The Summer Reading Challenge, hosted by Lupinacci and his colleagues, is a program designed to encourage youths to read during the summer months while they are enjoying their summer vacation.
Participants from kindergarten through third grade at Oakwood Road Elementary Primary Center were awarded New York State Assembly Citations for their participation in the program.
“It is encouraging to learn that students are developing a passion for reading at such young ages,” Lupinacci said. “Reading is a fundamental skill that may only be mastered through years of practice – these students are certainly off to the right start.
