Man Nabs Expensive Handbag From Saks Fifth Avenue: Police

He is wanted for grand larceny, police say.

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police say stole an expensive item from a South Huntington store in February.

A man entered Saks Fifth Avenue, at 230 Walt Whitman Road, around 12:05 p.m. Feb. 17 and stole a Louis Vuitton handbag, police said. The item was valued at approximately $1,450. The man is wanted for grand larceny, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "SCPD" and your message to "CRIMES" (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
