Man Stole Credit Cards From Unlocked Car In Huntington: Police

He tried to use the cards to make purchases but was declined, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who police said stole credit cards in Huntington in July.

A man went into an unlocked vehicle parked in a home's driveway at 5:49 a.m. July 18 and stole a wallet containing cash and credit cards, as well as a checkbook, police said. The man tried to use the cards to make purchases but was declined, police said. He drove off in a dark-colored Audi SQ5 SUV, police said. He is wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
