Motorcyclist Killed in Huntington Crash
The motorcycle crashed into a car driven by a 17-year-old Friday afternoon, police said.

A motorcyclist was killed when he struck a car driven by a 17-year-old in Huntington on Friday afternoon, police said.
According to authorities, Michael Awamy, 52, of Huntington, was riding a black 2008 Kawasaki Ninja eastbound on Jericho Turnpike when he struck a 2008 Nissan Sentra traveling westbound while attempting to make a left turn onto Sweet Hollow Road at 4:15 p.m.
Awamy was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Nissan, a 17-year-old from Central Islip, was not injured from the crash.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing.
