Motorcyclist Dies In Wrong-Way Collision In Suffolk
The motorcyclist drove into oncoming traffic and collided with an SUV, police say.
WEST HILLS, NY — An East Norwich motorcyclist died in a wrong-way collision with an SUV on Sunday afternoon in West Hills, Suffolk police said.
Michael Bonsera, 48, was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson southbound on Round Swamp Road when he crossed over the double-yellow lines into the northbound lanes and collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse around 1:30 p.m., police said.
Bonsera died at Plainview Hospital. The SUV driver suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.
