Pancake Fundraiser In Works For Man Killed In Huntington Station Crash

People will be able to get pancakes and hot chocolate for $10 each to help the family of James Beck, who died in a crash.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Friends of James Beck are organizing a pancake fundraiser in his memory to help his family.

The pancake fundraiser is scheduled for two time slots on Dec. 3: 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The fundraiser will be held at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, at 10 Pinetree Road in Huntington Station.

A donation of $10 per person will get pancakes and hot chocolate. People may sign up here.

Beck, 57, of Huntington Station, died while he was walking when he was hit by two cars on Saturday night on East Jericho Turnpike at Totten Avenue, Suffolk police said.

Cash will be accepted at the door, or people can Venmo Sara Goodwin @TKGoodwin, Huntington Now reported. People are asked to indicate that the donation is for the Beck Family Fundraiser. Additional donations or funds or gift cards will also be accepted.
