UPDATE: Huntington Man Dies After Being Hit by Car
The elderly man, who was crossing West Main Street near Scudder Place and struck by a car, died Thursday night, authorities said.

UPDATE: The pedestrian who was seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash on October 30 in Huntington, succumbed to his injuries. Vincent Butler died Thursday night, police said.

Suffolk County detectives are investigating a crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Huntington this morning.

Police say Vincent Butler, 75, was crossing West Main Street, approximately 10 feet from Scudder Place, when he was struck by a 2007 Honda Accord traveling east on West Main Street at 6:55 a.m.
A Huntington resident, Butler was transported to Huntington Hospital with serious injuries. The driver, Adrian Schrenck, 38, also of Huntington, was not injured, police said.

The Honda was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
