Person Struck by Train, Expect Delays on Ronkonkoma, Port Jeff Branches: LIRR
Commuters can expect residual delays up to an hour and cancellations due to the incident, the LIRR reports.

Limited service between Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson Branches has been restored after an unauthorized person on the tracks was struck by a train Monday afternoon, the LIRR reports.
According to the LIRR, service was temporarily suspended after a person was struck by a train west of Hicksville.
An eastbound train, which left Penn Station at 12:22 p.m. and was expected to arrive in Ronkonkoma at 1:4 p.m., struck the trespasser at 1 p.m., Newsday reports.
