Police Increase Enforcements Following Huntington Station Shootings
Expect more marked, unmarked and bicycle patrols in the Huntington Station area.

The Second Precinct is amping up its enforcements to ensure community safety following reports of three separate Huntington Station shootings in four days.
The following shootings are under aggressive investigation and authorities say they plan on leaving no stone unturned:

In response to these incidents, police say they are increasing the number of marked, unmarked and bicycle patrols in the Huntington Station area. Additionally, officers have been conducting neighborhood door knocks in the areas where the shootings occurred.

Detectives, patrol officers and gang team officers are all reaching out to their community contacts for investigative leads.
Many members of the community are fearing for their safety following these shootings. To help improve police-community relations, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy Sini met with community representatives on Monday. They discussed various ways authorities can improve public safety and traffic safety.
