2 Huntington Station Shootings Occur 2 Hours Apart: Police
In one of the incidents, bullets hit a vehicle that had an 8-year-old child sleeping in the back seat Saturday night, police say.

Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents in Huntington Station that occurred two hours apart Saturday night.
According to authorities, a 20-year-old Huntington Station man was walking through the LIRR parking lot when an unknown man stepped out of a vehicle, pointed a gun at him and shot him in the foot at 8 p.m.
The man fled to 7-Eleven, located at 1297 New York Ave., where someone called the police for him. He was transported by ambulance to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where he is listed in stable condition.

Police say several shots were then fired at two men standing in the driveway of a 24 East 6th Street home at 10:15 p.m.
Several bullets struck the house and a vehicle that was in the driveway next door, which was occupied by a sleeping 8-year-old child. The child, who was in the back seat of the vehicle, was not injured, police say.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about these shootings to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
