POLL: Should Huntington's Starbucks Serve Alcohol?

The coffeehouse applied for a liquor license earlier this month.

Starbucks is looking to serve alcohol at its Huntington location.

The coffeehouse, located at 1 Wall St., recently applied for a liquor license on Oct. 6, according to a NYS Liquor Authority representative.

The “Starbucks Evenings” menu looks to bring more customers to Starbucks during the evening hours by serving alcoholic beverages. The menu offers wine and craft beer to be paired with Starbucks’ signature coffee and tea beverages. Check out a sample menu here.

The co-manager at the Huntington Starbucks told Patch employees were not aware of the liquor licensee application and she does not know if this particular Starbucks will serve alcohol.

The Huntington Starbucks is among four locations on Long Island that have applied for a liquor license. Other locations include:

  • East Northport, located at 3011 Jericho Turnpike
  • Hauppauge, located at 513 Route 111
  • Long Beach, located at 101 W. Park Ave.

A Starbucks representative said the company is in the early stages of considering these Long Island stores for the Evenings menu. “It’s a long and thoughtful process and the permit filing is just one of many steps we take,” the representative told Patch.

The closest Starbucks that currently offers the “Starbucks Evenings” menu is in Brooklyn.
