Puppy Stolen From Huntington Station Store Recovered In Brooklyn: SCPD

The 3-month-old puppy was returned to the pet store on Wednesday, according to police.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — The puppy stolen from a Huntington Station store was recovered on Wednesday in Brooklyn, Suffolk police said.

The 3-month-old Havanese puppy was stolen from Selmer’s Pet Land, at 125 E. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station, on Tuesday afternoon, police said. The puppy was found following an investigation and tips from the community, police said. An arrest has not been made yet.

The puppy was returned to the pet store Wednesday afternoon.

The man who stole the dog placed it inside his backpack before fleeing the store on Tuesday, police said.
