- Silver Alert issued for missing Huntington Station woman. The 77-year-old woman suffers from dementia and was last seen leaving her residence at the Manorhaven Adult Home at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening. - Town of Oyster Boy extends skating hours at public rinks. The outdoor rinks at Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa and Syosset-Woodbury Park in Woodbury will have extended skating hours through Dec. 31. Click the link to see the extended hours.(Patch)
- Third annual Three Kings Day Celebration scheduled. The event will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Jan. 5 at Huntington Assembly of God, at 1700 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Three Kings Day is a traditional Hispanic/Latino celebration that showcases culture, pride and appreciation to the community, according to Housing Help Inc. (Huntington Patch)
- Traffic Stop on Southern State Pkwy leads to drug arrests. Damon Marinacci, of Syosset, was arrested and charged twice this month for possession of methamphetamine, police said. His charges include second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. Marinacci appeared in court Dec. 14 and was released on pre-sentencing supervision with an electronic monitoring device. (Patch)
