- Six people were arrested during an underage vape sales operation in the Town of Huntington. Police checked 24 businesses in the town after numerous complaints from members of the community. You can see which businesses sold to minors in the link. (Huntington Patch)
- The Whaling Museum opens new exhibit on African Americans in the whaling industry. “From Sea to Shining Sea: Whalers of the African Diaspora" runs through 2024 and highlights the first integrated and meritocratic industry in American history. “We’re very proud to have developed and hosted this exhibit,” Executive Director Domi Dayan said. “There are a lot of shocking and disturbing stories that came from putting this exhibit together, but also a lot of amazing tales of triumph and perseverance that I think can speak to us so much today.” (liherald.com)
- The Whaling Museum and Town of Huntington will host a trivia night to mark founding of Huntington. The online trivia night will ask questions about local history, stores, beaches, nature, streets and more in town, from Cold Spring Harbor to Northport to Dix Hills.
