Suffolk Police Searching For Missing Elwood Man

ELWOOD, NY — Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help to locate an Elwood man who was reported missing on Thursday.

Joseph Competiello was last seen at his Remsen Street home at around 8:30 a.m., police said, adding that he was last reported missing by a family member at around 2:30 p.m. the same day.

Competiello, 55, is white, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, has a shaved head, with brown eyes.

It is believed he is wearing a back North Face jacket, jeans and Skechers sneakers.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on his location to call 911 or the 2nd Squad at 631-854-8252.
