Teacher Inappropriately Touched Child In Huntington Station Store: Police
The man teaches science and math and owns a child education business, police say.
A teacher was arrested Sunday for inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl inside a supermarket in Huntington Station, police say.
On March 13, authorities say Gerry White, 45, of Wheatley Heights, followed a woman and her three children around C-Town Supermarket, located at 1662 New York Ave., used vulgar language and touched one of the daughters on her leg and upper thigh.
An investigation led to the arrest of White at his home approximately a week after the incident at 9:30 p.m. White teaches math and science at Upper Room Christian School, located at 722 Deer Park Road in Dix Hills, and owns Eyes on the Prize Tutoring, a child education business.

White was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child. He was held overnight and was arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.
Police are asking anyone who believes they may be a victim of White to call 911 or the Second Precinct Crime Section at 631-854-8226.
