Student Makes Threat Against South Huntington Middle School: Police
The district does not "tolerate any actions that threaten the health, wellness and safety of all within our school district."

HUNTINGTON, NY — A potential threat was made against Henry L. Stimson Middle School of the South Huntington School District on Sunday, Suffolk police said.
The student who posted the threat on a social media post was identified, and police found the threat to not be credible, police said. The threat was made on Snapchat, according to the school district.
"We are very appreciative of the quick efforts of our administration, in coordination with the Suffolk County Police Department," Superintendent Dr. Vito D'Elia said in a statement. "Once the investigation was over, SCPD determined there was no credible threat made and that through the work of the 2nd precinct and school district, the student who committed the act is being addressed appropriately as per the district code of conduct. We, as a district, do not tolerate any actions that threaten the health, wellness and safety of all within our school district."
