Threat Made Against Walt Whitman High School
Suffolk police are investigating the threat, while the district says it was not credible, according to a report.

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, NY — Suffolk police went to Walt Whitman High School on Wednesday after a threat was made on Tuesday night, police said.
The "potential threat of violence" against the school was made on social media, Newsday reported. South Huntington Superintendent Vito M. D’Elia said "no credible threat" was made, and the district identified the person who made the social media post, Newsday reported.
Police told Patch the threat is still being investigated as of Wednesday afternoon.
