  1. In response to numerous community complaints, Suffolk County Police, along with other agencies, conducted a liquor inspection at the Three Stars Restaurant on West Hills Road. Henry Contreras of Huntington Station, the owner of the restaurant, and a security guard from East Patchogue, were charged with New York State General Business Law: Unlicensed Security Guard, an unclassified misdemeanor.   2. Early voting for the November elections starts on October 23rd, going through Sunday, October 31st. There are multiple voting stations across the island, but the two most convenient for Hunting residents at Dix Hills fire department and Huntington public library. (Huntington Now)
  3. Nearby News: The FBI confirms they found a body of a young female matching the description of Blue Point native Gabby Petito. The body was found in Wyoming. "I would like to extend sincere and heartfelt condolences to Gabby's family," an FBI supervisor said. "As every parent can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for the family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. We ask that you all respect their privacy as they mourn the loss of their daughter." (CBS)
