  1. Oyster Bay will give $1 million in grants to small businesses. The move comes as part of the "Oyster Bay Forward" grant program, which helps businesses who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. “The town has been working tirelessly to help these businesses and not-for-profits stay afloat, get back on their feet safely and effectively,” said Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino. "Small businesses need and deserve all the help we can provide them." (News 12 Hudson Valley)
  2. A "First Friday" concert at Heckscher Museum will feature Tobias. The South African-born musician will perform a solo act of his own catalog and is excited for the show. Tobias left South Africa and moved to Israel at 18 and has been a Huntington resident since 2013. “Not only is it my hometown, but it’s such a beautiful place to perform. The acoustics are magnificent. Obviously, I’m very excited to be performing and to bring my music of hope and acceptance of the brotherhood of man to our community. (Huntington Now)

  5. Legislator Bontempi and Supervisor Smyth hold emergency preparedness program at Huntington Senior Center. The program prepared seniors for potential emergencies that may arise, and how they can have emergency kits ready to use. “I was so excited to have this educational event right here at the Senior Center, as our older neighbors have different challenges when it comes to encountering an emergency,” said Bontempi. “The presenter tailored the event perfectly to address the unique needs of the senior population, and I believe everyone left with a better idea of how to prepare more effectively.” (LongIsland.com)
