The Hauntington-themed tour will feature records related to crimes, controversial and sad stories haunting Huntington's history.

HUNTINGTON, NY — All Hallow's Month has officially launched in Huntington, and the Town is celebrating by putting on guided tours of Huntington's Haunted History throughout October. The first one kicks off Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Town Clerk’s Archives at Huntington Town Hall, 100 Main St., where Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci and Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia will be on-hand, the Town announced.
Archives Month is an annual, month-long celebration with the purpose of promoting historical records repositories and the role archivists play in their management and maintenance. To celebrate Archives Month 2019, the Huntington Town Clerk’s Archives will hold an open house for the month of October, on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. There will also be a Halloween tour from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., despite the date landing on a Thursday.
Archivist Antonia Mattheou, working under the direction of Raia, has collaborated with Lupinacci’s office to cultivate a Hauntington-themed tour of the archives featuring records related to crimes, controversial and sad stories haunting Huntington’s history.
