1. ShopRite opens in Huntington. The long-awaited ShopRite opened on Sunday to welcoming crowds and happy customers. The 65,000-square-foot store was supposed to open at 7 a.m. but opened earlier due to customers arriving before the scheduled time. Click the link to see photos from the big day. (Huntington Now)
2. Town of Huntington holds 2nd annual Polar Plunge at Crab Meadow Beach. The Polar Plunge benefits the Special Olympics and hundreds of brave souls battled the cold water for a good cause. Check out a video recap in the link. (WABC-TV)
