- Macy's Toys 'R' Us shops open throughout Long Island. If you remember Toys 'R' Us, you'll get excited because as of Saturday, many Macy's on Long Island will now the iconic toy store inside their location. Walt Whitman Mall is one of the locations and to celebrate, Macy's will have a nine-day extravaganza of events and activities for kids. (Huntington Patch)

- Huntington Union Free School District: Homecoming Day is this Saturday which means a week of festivities in the school district.
