  1. A man was struck by car and seriously injured in Dix Hills Wednesday night. The accident happened at 9:45 p.m. at the corner of Deer Park Road and Old Country Road. The unnamed man was hit by a 54-year-old West Hempstead man driving a 2004 Pontiac sedan south on Deer Park Road. He was taken to the hospital with serious injures and no other details are currently available. (Daily Voice)
  2. Tribute was paid to an EMT from Huntington who was killed in Queens. You can see a video in the link of a line of motorcycles and first responder vehicles paying tribute to Alison Russo-Elling at her services earlier this week. "She was a dedicated provider and outstanding member, serving on several committees and giving her time wherever it was needed at Huntington Community," the Huntington First Aid Squad wrote on Facebook. "Alison would have celebrated 30 years of service at Huntington Community First Aid Squad in November of this year."(Huntington Patch)
  3. Check out five new homes for sale in the Town of Huntington. Housing prices have finally dipped on Long Island, giving sellers a little bit less of an advantage than they had the past year plus. Click the photo of the home in the link to learn more about the listing. (Huntington Patch)
