  1. Village Heros closes after 51 years in business. The popular Syosset eatery served its last meal on Friday, Feb. 17. The establishment said the closure is due to circumstances out of its control. "We have fought long and hard, but our new landlords want us off the premises by the end of this month," Village Heros said in a statement on Facebook. "We feel awful to have to do this to our long-time faithful customers like yourselves, but we have been left with no alternative."(Daily Voice)
  2. Check out our 'Wow House' of the week. This $899K Huntington home is located at 61 Vineyard Road and is listed as a "haven atop the hills" and a "stunning retreat." Click the link to see photos and learn more about the listing. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Camellia Festival begins at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay. Milder weather and newly bred camellia varieties make it possible to grow the Camellia plants in the garden on Long Island, which makes for great viewing opportunities. The festival runs all week and you can learn more in the link. (News 12 Connecticut)
