Woman Brings Loaded Gun To Precinct In Huntington: Suffolk Police

The woman was turning herself in for other crimes when she brought a loaded gun into the precinct and was arrested, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — A woman was arrested Friday when she brought a loaded firearm into a police precinct as she turned herself in for other crimes, Suffolk police said.

Stephanie Incarnato, 31, of Amityville, was turning herself in at the Suffolk County Police Department Second Precinct in Huntington around 11:20 a.m. for stealing items from DICK’S Sporting Goods, at 870 Walt Whitman Road, on Nov. 17 and Dec 1, police said. Second Precinct officers discovered a loaded 9mm handgun and multiple live rounds hidden in her bag during an inventory search of her property, police said.

Incarnato was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count of criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of petty larceny, and two counts of seventh-degree criminal
possession of a controlled substance.

Incarnato will be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
