Woman Charged With Prostitution In Huntington Massage Parlor Raid: PD

The spa was investigated after community members issued complaints, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — A Brooklyn woman was arrested and charged with prostitution during a massage parlor raid in Huntington on Wednesday, Suffolk police said.

Police, joined by Town of Huntington officials and the town fire marshal, investigated AT Shangrila Spa, at 870 West Jericho Turnpike, at 3 p.m., police said. The investigation was launched following community and quality of life complaints, the department said.

Huaying Wei, 46, was charged with two counts of prostitution and two counts of unlawful practice of a profession. Wei was released on a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on Sept. 19.
