Woman Rescued After Driving Into Creek
A woman drove through a fence and into a creek in the parking lot of the CVS store.
HUNTINGTON, NY — A woman was rescued after she drove her car through a fence and into a creek in Huntington on Tuesday, said P.I.O. Steve Silverman.
The Huntington Fire Department responded to the incident at 11:25 a.m. at the parking lot of the CVS located on New York Avenue and Hill Place. They sent a heavy rescue truck and crew under the direction of 3rd Assistant Chief Paul Smith.
The woman, 73, was removed by police and firefighters and helped out of the creek with a ladder. She suffered minor injuries and was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Huntington Community First Aid Squad.
