Woman Seriously Injured In Suffolk Crash: Police
The woman collided with another vehicle when she tried to make a left turn, police say.
HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A woman was seriously injured in a collision in Huntington Station on Monday evening, Suffolk police said.
Rebecca DeWitt, 22, of Melville, was driving a 2021 Honda when she tried to make a left turn onto Jericho Turnpike, from southbound Schiller Avenue, and was struck by a 2022 BMW being driven westbound on Jericho Turnpike by a 44-year-old Huntington Station woman at 5:15 p.m., police said.
DeWitt was airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries that are not life-threatening, police said

The BMW driver was not injured, police said.
The vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
