• Fulton County looks to get ahead of data center spread (dailygazette.com) — A massive data center is proposed for Ilion’s former Remington Arms plant, potentially opening in 2027 with added housing, open space, and commercial uses. Planners across upstate New York are scrambling to regulate such hypersized facilities because of their huge electricity and water demands and relatively few jobs. Local residents should watch how this project could affect power costs, land use, and future development in and around Ilion. 
• Oneida Health What the Truck Food Truck Rally Now at 3 Central New York Locations This Summer (wktv.com) — Food trucks are rolling into Ilion every Wednesday night this summer, with the What the Truck rally setting up on Pleasant Avenue alongside music and family activities. The long-running Utica tradition is now a three-town series, with separate nights in Deerfield and Oneida Castle as well. Ilion residents can count on weekly outdoor dining and entertainment close to home.
